Claforan injection is used to combat bacterial infections that affect different parts of the body, such as pneumonia and other problems in the lower respiratory tract, treating gonorrhea, as well as inflammation of the membranes surrounding the brain and spinal cord, in addition to infections that may affect the brain or spinal cord. Claforan is also used to treat infections of the abdomen, reproductive organs in women, blood, skin, joints, bones, and the urinary system.
Claforan can also be used as a preventive measure before surgeries, or during and after cesarean section, to reduce the risk of infection in the patient.
